Let your voice be heard!

Anyone worried about the continuation of their copyrights as they exist needs to let their voices be heard. Although the original ideas behind the orphan works bills was good they have changed considerably into something bordering on legal rape for artists and creators of any IP property.

Read more here : http://www.owoh.org/

Sign the petition here : http://www.petitiononline.com/Stop2913/petition.html

Don’t think your voice does not count, it does! Before artists went to Washington to talk about these bills the most common response was ” Why would you be against legislation to help babies?” Help educate your ELECTED officials on why this is a bad idea for artists and creators. Making a living from ones creations is hard enough. Now they want to charge the creators for all legal fees, registration fees (we already pay to copyright the images to the government to start with), constant search fees to make sure no one is illegally using the image and then leaving us with no real compensation or ability to stop them from simply creating “new” works based upon ours.

If you are an artist, related to one, friends with one or simply believe everyone should retain the copyrights as already stated which is you own all copyrights for anything you create as soon as it is in solid form please take a few moments to use the forms to contact your elected officials and sign the petition. Help support and protect the creative individuals attempting to make a living from their creations. It will even help those of us who don’t make a living from our art to keep the copyrights in our hands.

Site Reorganization

Excuse the mess and inconvience as I reorganize this site and the related ones. I am trying to break off my fine art originals, limited prints and limited photographic prints sales from other sections of the FlyingArts “conglomerate” .

So Back soon will be the originals and such for sale here. Those who followed that part of the site on ArtCow.net (which is now missing) can email and I can send a link with new images available in the interm.

Soon the sites will stack up as follows:

ArtCow.net – personal blog on journey through life and such

FlyingArts.net – originals & prints for sale

FlyingArts.com – storefront with product items for sales

FlyingArts.Biz – Art Licensing section

and links on all to interconnect with these and the offsite places for posters and additional products.

Again sorry for the inconvenience as I move things around. I will be adding all those small pages in here of sold and unsold works only through say 06 at this point.
